As for West Papua became a new province in 2003, where previously it was still 1 (one) province with Papua Province.<\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/lengkap-inilah-34-rumah-adat-di-indonesia\/\">Traditional<\/a> houses in the Maluku islands do not function as daily residences, but as shared houses used for traditional gatherings, both official and unofficial. This is in accordance with the natural conditions of Papua in the form of mountains. They do not make windows in the house so that the cold mountain breeze does not enter the house so that the residents feel warm.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"Rumah-Adat-Papua\">Papuan Traditional House<\/h2>\n\n<p>Papuan traditional houses are <em>honai<\/em> houses, which have circular walls, with dome-shaped roofs (half balls) so that they look like mushrooms from the outside.<\/p>\n\n<h4 id=\"Rumah-Honai\"><em><strong>Honai Traditional House<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"700\" height=\"435\" src=\"https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Rumah-Honai-Rumah-Adat-Papua.png\" alt=\"Honai House &#x2013; Papuan Traditional House\" class=\"wp-image-1302\" srcset=\"https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Rumah-Honai-Rumah-Adat-Papua.png 700w, https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Rumah-Honai-Rumah-Adat-Papua-509x316.png 509w, https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Rumah-Honai-Rumah-Adat-Papua-254x158.png 254w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n<p>This house has only one small door and has no windows at all. In the middle of the room, there is a place to light a bonfire to warm the room. The floor of the <em>honai<\/em> house is from the ground but there is an upper floor made of boards, which is used as a bed. In 1 (one) area, there is a group of families who establish <em>honai<\/em> together.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 id=\"Rumah-Adat-Papua-Barat\">West Papua Traditional House<\/h3>\n\n<p><em>Modaki aksa is the <\/em>home of West Papuans. Usually this house is used by residents who live in mountainous areas. Therefore, this house is also often referred to as a thousand-legged house. The <em>battery mod house is<\/em> made high to avoid attacks by wild animals. This ADA house has no windows to keep its residents feeling warm.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 id=\"Rumah-Adat-Maluku\">Moluccan Traditional House<\/h3>\n\n<p>Rumah <em>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/id.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Baileo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">baileo<\/a>\n<\/em> is a traditional house in the province of Maluku. <em>Baileo<\/em> house is not a residential house, but a traditional house for traditional ceremonies, community deliberations or religious activities. The house is in the form of a stilt house and is open.<\/p>\n\n<h4 id=\"Rumah-Baileo\"><em><strong>Baileo Traditional House<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"700\" height=\"435\" src=\"https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Rumah-Baileo-Rumah-Adat-Maluku.png\" alt=\"Baileo House - Traditional House of Maluku\" class=\"wp-image-1300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Rumah-Baileo-Rumah-Adat-Maluku.png 700w, https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Rumah-Baileo-Rumah-Adat-Maluku-509x316.png 509w, https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Rumah-Baileo-Rumah-Adat-Maluku-254x158.png 254w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n<p>The roof of the <em>baileo<\/em> house is triangular, which is made of coconut leaves or sago leaves, while the pole is made of coconut trunks and the floor is made of boards. <em>Baileo<\/em> house has 3 (three) stairs, namely at the front, left and at the back of the building. On the front steps there is <em>a pamali <\/em>stone for placing offerings.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 id=\"Rumah-Adat-Maluku-Utara\">North Maluku Traditional House<\/h3>\n\n<p>The Sahu tribe in West Halmahera, North Maluku, often gathers, eats together and carries out traditional activities at the <em>sasadu house.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<h4 id=\"Rumah-Sasadu\"><em><strong>Sasadu Traditional House<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"700\" height=\"435\" src=\"https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Rumah-Sasadu-Rumah-Adat-Maluku-Utara.png\" alt=\"Sasadu House - North Maluku Traditional House\" class=\"wp-image-1304\" srcset=\"https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Rumah-Sasadu-Rumah-Adat-Maluku-Utara.png 700w, https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Rumah-Sasadu-Rumah-Adat-Maluku-Utara-509x316.png 509w, https:\/\/areaindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Rumah-Sasadu-Rumah-Adat-Maluku-Utara-254x158.png 254w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n<p>The <em>sasadu <\/em>house is an open house without walls and doors, but only pillars. The poles are not nailed, but use wooden pegs and ropes.
